Identity of the Data Controller
As the data controller, Onn Denizcilik ve Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi (“Company” or “our Company”), registered with the Istanbul Trade Registry Office under registration number 979248-0 and headquartered at Barbaros Mah. Kardelen Sk. Palladium Tower No:2, Interior Door No: 76, Ataşehir / Istanbul – TÜRKİYE, provides the following information within the scope of our obligation to inform, in order to ensure compliance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("Law") and secondary legislation regarding the personal data obtained from the data subject through the completion of this form.
Purpose, Collection Method, and Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data
The Company, acting as the data controller, processes the following personal data limited to the purposes of evaluating the suitability of individuals for employment/service, conducting necessary communication processes during the suitability assessment, and executing emergency procedures, by non-automated means through manual completion of the personnel application form sent by the Company via email: name, surname, nationality, identity number, place and date of birth, age, address, phone number, email address, emergency contact information, marital status, number of children, vocational training information, foreign language skills, seaman's book details, professional qualification information, medical check-up certificate details, passport information, certificate information, past and current workplace details, duties performed, end date and reason for leaving, parents' names, registered place of residence, blood type, smoking and alcohol consumption status, military service information, bank account details, overall uniform and shoe size, retirement status, current health condition, physical disability, history of illness and surgery, yellow fever vaccination certificate information, and signature data. These are processed based on the legal grounds of explicit consent, necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract, and legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed, and in compliance with the fundamental principles of the Law and by taking necessary administrative and technical measures.
To Whom and For What Purposes Your Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred
The Company, as the data controller, may transfer the personal data mentioned above to business partners, representatives, and relevant institutions and organizations located abroad, limited to the purpose of evaluating suitability for employment/service and within the conditions specified in the Law, depending on the nature of the job and/or service.
In cases where you provide the personal data of third parties to our Company by any means, we remind you that you are responsible for fulfilling your legal obligations, including the obligation to inform under the Law and secondary legislation. Otherwise, you shall be held liable for any damage that may arise.
Personal Data Belonging to Third Parties
If you provide personal data of third parties to our Company in any form, we remind you of your responsibility to fulfill the legal obligations arising from the Law and secondary legislation. Otherwise, you will be held liable for any damage that may occur.
Rights of the Personal Data Subject
According to Article 11 of the Law, every individual has the right to:
Learn whether personal data is being processed,
Request information if personal data has been processed,
Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used appropriately,
Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
Request the correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
Request the deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons requiring processing no longer exist,
Request notification to third parties to whom the data was transferred, in case of correction or deletion of data,
Object to the occurrence of a result against the person through the exclusive analysis of processed data by automated systems,
Request compensation if the person suffers damage due to the unlawful processing of personal data.
You also have these rights and may forward your requests regarding the above matters to our Company.
Our Company will conclude your applications free of charge as soon as possible and within a maximum of 30 (thirty) days, depending on the nature of your request, in accordance with Article 13 of the Law. If the process requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged based on the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. However, if it is determined that the error is due to our fault, the said fee will be refunded to you.
As the data controller, we may accept your request or reject it by providing justification. If your request is accepted, we will fulfill the necessary actions as soon as possible and inform you accordingly.
